The Technical Director Nigerian Scrabble Federation NSF, Mallam Faruq Baba-Inna has expressed disappointment with the Non Participation of Adamawa state in Both Scrabble and cheese games in the ongoing National Youth Games Holding in Kwara State.
Mallam Baba-Inna who stated this in an Interview with Sports Writers at the Multi porpose indoor sports Hall Of the University of Illorin one of the Venues for Scrabble and other sporting activities for the National Youth Games, said he personally felt pain that his home state is missing from an important sports festival like this .
The Technical Director regreted the numerous advantages that will elude Adamawa youths whom may have been decieved during the Fiesta for either National Assignments, or lucrative opportunities that include scholarships for many students.
Mallam Faruq Baba-Inna said Adamawa and other States from the North-East should have Known that the National Youth Games took a year to prepare adding that pausity of Funds should not have been a reason enought to deny hundreds of talented youths an annual Opportunity.
He Disclosed that twenty six states are currently participating in the event with only Bauchi state coming from the North East.
Mallam Baba-Inna commended the high level of improvement due to the raw talents so far discovered during the national Youth Games.
He said though there is still much that needed to be done in the area of impacting and imparting of mordern techniques in skills, his Federation is doing every thing humanly possible to take the game of Scrabble to every nook and cranny of the Country.
