Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla has directed the Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture Hon. Waziri Ahmadu to let the input suppliers to start the supplying fertilisers and other Agricultural inputs to all the stores across the state. However, he did that to enable farmers in the state to have access to them.
He disclosed this while briefing some staff of the Ministry at his office today. He said that the gesture is in line the administration's quest to boost Agriculture in the state because about 85% of the indegens depends either directly or indirectly on It as a means of Livelihood.
However, he explained that the provision of fertilisers has been a routine in the state since the inception of the Bindow administration adding that the Ministry in collaboration with other investors are ensuring that farmers in the state enjoy the use of contemporary Agricultural inputs which has been a serious problem in the past.
Lastly, he said that farmers will be informed soon on how the process of obtaining the fertilisers will be.
