NEWS: State Account and Audit staff Bill Pass in to Law

A Law to  amend Adamawa State Accounting Law 2017 and Audit Law 2016 as well as to review the  allowances of the Accountant General and Auditor  General of the state and other staff of the parastatals has been  signed into  Law by Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla.

According to the  Bill,  the state  Auditor  General and Accountant  General  shall be  entitled to pay additional Allowances  as may be recommended by the  Head of Service  in respect of the following :
50 % of the Basic  salary as consolidated allowance.
25% of the Basic  salary  as wardrobe allowance.
25% of Basic salary as Hazard allowance.

However, other allowances may be recommended by the  Head of  Service and  approved by the  Governor.

The Bill also  stated that section  16  (a) highlights that apart from the  normal  allowances  payable in the service,  the staff  of the Auditor General and the Accountant General Offices shall be paid additional Allowances which  includes; 
100% of  Basic salary as Accommodation  allowance in place of Rent Allowance .
50 % of Basic salary as Wardrobe allowance.
50% of Basic salary as Hazard  allowance.
22.88% of Basic salary as Consolidated allowance.

Such other allowances  that may be  recommended by the Head of service and approved by the Governor.
