A 2-day inter-religious dialogue workshop on the protection of religious sites have been opened in yola, the Adamawa state capital. Declaring the workshop opened, the commissioner for information and strategy comrade Ahmad sajoh represented by the perm sect Mr Polycarp Ayuba urged participants to listen attentively to the facilitators who are of international standard so as to benefit from their wealth of experience & knowledge.

Earlier in her remarks, Hajiya Fatima Madaki an Executive Director with Education & Sustainable Livelihood Youth Initiative and Senior Project Coordinator with Search for Common Grounds grounds said her organizations are disturbed with the recent conflicts in the state where some religious sites have been destroyed. She called on participants to sensitize their followers to imbibed the culture of  peace.

Participants for the workshop were drawn from Muslim Council of Nigeria, Christian Association of Nigeria, Muslims Students Society and Fellowship of Christian Students from some selected Institutes of higher learning in the state.
