While reacting to the new development by the state Assembly, the organising Secretary of All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmad Lawan reminded the lawmakers that the primary functions are to check-mate the Executive arm of the government to do what is good for the people of the state.

Lawan said it will be too bad if the lawmakers are playing someone’s card to witch hunt other people, sending a word of notice to them that if they will not be fair to all citizenry of the state but decided to do less or more than the constitutional provision,or expectation then their duties become detrimental to the entire people of the state.

“You know that some of the functions of the lawmakers are to check and balance what the government in place is doing, if what they are set to do is in the interest of the state is never a problem, but if they are out to back the government in one way or the order at the pains of the people of the state it will never be condone.

” I support them to do exactly what is  provided of them to do by the constitution in the interest of Adamawa people, but if they are turn instruments of witch hunting people or individual(s) to suit the government interest then they are not ready for the work. ” Lawan said
