Two Motions was brought to the floor of the House today thus:
Call to sensitize farmers on the danger of selling farm produce (On the farm), to buyers from other states and the need the need to curb the situation.
The motion was deliberated upon and some way forward was suggested like, Standard selling policy to be enhanced, increased tax for foreign buyers coming to buy and so on, increase empowerment etc which which can ease the deliberate practice, for it observe that most farmers sales of farm imputs are not deliberate but to satisfy human needs.
The Hon speaker Rt.Hon. Aminu Iya Abbass stressed that the force of demand and supply is not decided by humans but by situation at hand, therefore people of Adamawa State should minimize the rate of sales so as to benefit from the law of demand and supply, that the higher the supply, the lower the demand and vice-versa.
