The Judiciary arm of the Government in the State is set to establish a High Court 2 here in Mubi South Local Government Area of the State due to the high demand of justice delivery in the State. This came to fore when the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Musa Nathan paid the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu a courtesy visit at his palace Monday 31st January, 2022.
The CJ told the Royal Father that the Judiciary is set to achieve that before the year runs out in order to fast track justice delivery to the common man in the society. He has also solicited for a befitting environment be allocated for the purpose intended.
In his response, the Royal Father said it is a welcome development and he commended the efforts of the CJ in the delivery of justice in the state and urged him to continue the good work.
Similarly, the CJ visited the office of the Transition Committee Chairman, Mubi North, Hon. Mohammed Garga in order to see how he can reach out to the inmates in the area of sanitation, hygiene as well as the provision of drugs so as to ease the challenges being faced in the prison.
In his response, Hon. Garga thanked the delegation for the visit, and promised to reach out to the inmates with assistance as soon as possible.
The CJ was in Mubi on a mission to decongest the prisons in the company of the " Jail Delivery Committee " members in the state which he happened to be the Chair. He visited the Mubi and Maiha Prisons respectively where a total number of 31 inmates were set free including 6 women.
