The Deputy Governor, Chief Crowther Seth has been in the forefront of the awareness campaign for electorates to get registered and obtain their permanent voters card ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He urged eligible voters in Lamurde to turn out enmass and register ahead of the closing date of the ongoing voters registration by INEC.
The Deputy Governor was in his home town Lamurde where he met with critical stakeholders to chart on the ongoing voters registration and to raise proper awareness among the eligible voters as the closing date draws nearer.
He urged the stakeholders not to relent, but redouble efforts in educating their people to get registered and obtain their PVC's, reminding them that it is the only powerful weapon to vote the leaders of their choice.
The Chief Seth cautioned them against hatred, rather unite and support anybody who God entrusted with leadership position.
Chief Seth also advised the electorate not to give room for any tendencies capable of disenfranchising them in the upcoming 2023 polls, instead follow due process to get registered.
Speaking earlier, The Local Government PDP Chairman, Dimas Bello and the Member representing Lamurde in the State Assembly, Bauna Miyandasa advised the people of the area to comply with INEC officials, noting that their vote is their right.
While encouraging their people to take advantage of the remaining days to get registered, the stakeholders advised against multiple registration as that can affect them.
The District Head of Lamurde, Napwama Istifanus said such awareness campaign can never be overemphasized, urging the electoral umpire to redouble efforts to ensure the coverage of reasonable number of voters in the area.
Be that as it may, the parley championed by the Chief Seth who doubles as a loyal, committed as well as a critical stakeholder of PDP, has demonstrated his love and concern for his people, hence the need for Lamurde constituents to heed to the words of elders.
