ANNIVERSARY: Homun Bachama Commemorates Three Years on the Throne.

Homun Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga has celebrated his three year anniversary since his ascension to throne as the Twenty Ninth Paramount ruler of the Bachama Kingdom with a theme: "Day and Night, Shall Never Cease".


Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri assured the Bwatye people of his commitment to peace enterprise in Numan federation and the state in general.

Represented by his deputy,  Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri congratulated the Hama Bachama, Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga for three years of God's grace upon him and his kingdom. He described Him as a courageous and bold king, full of wisdom, vision and foresight, testifying that he has been a unifying force in Bachama land, Numan federation and beyond.

Governor Fintiri acknowledged that the Paramount ruler is an advocate of peace and Justice, reminding the Bachama people to keep aside individual differencrs, unite and work towards the realization of Adamawa project which is before his administration.

Having said his administration will always accord priority to Bwatiye land in view of its economic and other benefits, the Governor challenged stakeholders to ensure the engagement of Youths and women in any developmental programs being the critical segment of any society.

The Chairman of the occasion, Chief Pwakusari Adanks whose speech was read by Professor Ambrose Voh had earlier expressed hope for Bachama people and the entire kingdom under Homun Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga, describing his three years on the throne as a fruitful journey of service to his people, and has made them proud.

For him, his zeal to develop his people and the kingdom is unquantifyiable, stressing that his courage, tenacity will continue to be cherished.

The Chairman saluted His Excellency, Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for identifying with their people at all times, saying it is a sign of trust and confidence of the ATM Governor in them, assuring their commitment to remain supportive at all given time.

Chief Adanks used the occasion to solicits for the construction of water boreholes in some of their communities by the fresh air government to alleviate the hardship of the masses, in view of the fact that "water is life". He reemphasized that as worriors they have been known for, Bachama people will continue to defend their people and its territories, promising to tow the path of peace as they match towards greatness under the leadership of their great king, Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga.

The Hama Bachama Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga in his address, explained that the third anniversary affords an opportunity to give thanks to God in appreciation for his grace, love, mercy, sufficient blessings, guidance and protection upon him, his family and his kingdom.

The Hama Bachama emphasized on the importance of thanksgiving to God which according to him open more doors of blessings.

The monarch stressed that the service is in fulfilment of the Biblical saying "Give thanks to God in any situation", hence the gathering to reflect on the good things God has been doing in his life and the entire Bachama kingdom, advocating for unity of purpose to move the Bwatiye land to its manifest destiny.

Dr. Shaga identified the restoration of peace and tranquility, abundant rain and bumper harvest, successful reconciliation among his people, prosperity in all angles the land, healing of his wife from an illness, among others worth the Thanksgiving.

He thereafter, register his appreciation to the fresh air administration, traditional rulers among other well meaning groups and individuals for their commitment and steadfastness in working together for the overall interest of Bwatiye land and the state in general despite all odds.

In the separate remarks, Dah-Kpang Sanwi, Sanwi Chiefdom Dr. Hinlewheni Banti and Kwandi Nunguraya Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II wished the Hama Bachama more fruitful years ahead, saying their people are proud to be part of Numan federation, assuring of their total support for the actualization of unity and peace in the area.

They tasked Bwatiye people to remain United and strong in the face of advaseries, thereby practicalizing the good virtues that will make their land a healthy one.

There was a presentation of an inspirational message to Hama Bachama, Dr Daniel Ismaila Shaga whom they described as a Lion, an Icon and a symbol of unity in diversity who always care for his people.

The peak of the event was a display by different cultural troups, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Bachama land and the cutting of the anniversary cake.
