The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, have received an Award of Excellence as Best Supportive Governor, in 2023 Hajj operations by independent Hajj Reporters.
This was revealed by the Executive Secretary, Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu, at a press briefing organised by the Commission.
Also, the Executive Secretary has equally earned an Award for Best State on Pilgrims enlightenment and education, who had played significant role in enhancing the overall Hajj exercise in 2023.
Malam Abubakar Salihu, further announced that intending Pilgrims should deposit the sum of 4.5 Million Naira for 2024 Hajj exercise which is subject to change due to galloping of the Dollar, adding that, the National Hajj Commission has allocated 2488 seats to Adamawa State. He said that all intending pilgrims should pay their Hajj fares before February ending for issuance of visa on time.
The Executive Secretary, made it clear that pilgrims who over pay their Hajj fares in 2023 will be given back their balances through bank draft. And, called on pilgrims who are yet to receive their excess luggages to exercise patience, efforts are being made to convey their luggages soon.
