Media has been described as a catalyst for development and reform process in the society.
This was revealed by the USAID Nigeria State Accountability Transparency and Effectiveness ( State 2 State ) activity during a one day Technical assistance to Adamawa State Information Officers on governance and public financial management communication held at Duragi Hotel Yola recently.
According to USAID (State 2 State ) , Information Officers are the agenda setters and Gate keepers of their various MDA'S pointing out that the workshop is designed specifically for the Information Officers in Adamawa State in order to enhance their knowledge on Communication and Information management.
The objective of the training workshop is to assess the level of implementation and commitment for the previous workshops and to identify any gaps among the Information Officers with a view to strategising communication mechanism and information flow.
The organisers of the workshop also appreciated the efforts of the Information Officers for exhibiting professionalism and zeal while managing Information at their places of assignments.
Participants have assured that they would use the knowledge acquired during the workshop for the purpose intended and applauded USAID (State 2 State ) for organising such a workshop hoping that USAID will continue to maintain the tempo.
