WORKS:House Committee Members on Works and Energy Development Visits Ministry for Familiarisation.

As part of their oversight functions, the House Committee on Works and Energy development led by their Chairman Hon. Japhet Hammanjabu visted the Ministry of Works and Energy Development for a familiarisation visit where they were warmly welcomed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Works and Energy Development,  Adamu Atiku Abubakar, the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Suleiman Mohammed and the Directors of the Ministry.
 
In his remark, the Chairman of the committee, Hon. Japhet Hammanjabu  thanked the Ministry and the Honourable commissioner for granting them  audience despite their schedules and emphasized that they were at the Ministry for a familiarisation visit so that they might  know each other and to also be abrased with the happenings in the Ministry. He reiterated commitments to partnership and synergy for a smooth and harmonious working relationship so as to move the state forward.He added that the House of Assembly members are very impressed and happy with the Ministry because of her  efforts in  delivering the tasks assigned to them by His Excellency. Hon. Hammanjabu congratulates the Hon. Commissioner for his second coming saying that, His Excellency RT. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has bestowed hope and trust in him and wished him success as he continue with the good work for the second term.
 
In his response, Honourable  Adamu Atiku  thanked and appreciated the Committee Members for the visit,  added that he has to also thank His Excellency RT. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for giving him the second opportunity because according to him only three (3) of them out of the twenty five (25) Commissioners were lucky and fortunate to come back to their old portfolios. He applauded the good performance of the Ministry's team led by the Permanent Secretary who are always committed in discharging their functions and duties diligently.
 
Hon. Adamu made it known that the Ministry is in the heart of His Excellency because of the infrastructural development that the Governor is doing in both Rural and urban part of the state He said  that the Governor is building Adamawa of tomorrow following the recent approval for the construction of Mubi roundabout flyover/ adjoining streets in Jimeta, Adamawa super high way and the lingering Saminaka storm water drains which will open up the state, reduce traffic, waste of time and resources and also promote social- economic development to the citizens.
 
Finally, he called on the members to work in synergy so as to actualize the eight points agenda of the fresh air Governor.
The Committee Members include: Hon. Japhet Hammanjabu ( Chairman), Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri ( Vice Chairman) while Hon. Kate Raymond and  Hon. Babangida Mohammed Njidda are Members.
